OMR: Optical Mark Recognition is the generic name for the process of reading black marks or circles on a sheet.
OCR: Optical Character Recognition is the generic name for the process of reading printed text on a sheet.
OAR: Objective Answer Sheet Reader.

ORS: Objective Response Sheet, OMR Sheet, Bubble sheet or Oval sheet.

OMR Form Processor runs on any computer or Laptop running on Windows.

For scanning of objective form sheet any normal Flatbed Scanner or ADF Scanner (Automatic Document Feeder) can be used. Scanning of OMR Sheets and reading of OMR form are two independant processes and the OMR software needs no integration with the scanner.

If an ADF Scanner is used, the speed of scanning is increased manifold and the effort in placing each sheet to the flatbed scanner is minimised as you can put 30-50 sheets simultaneously in this ADF scanner pocket. Many models of ADF scanners are available in market which work well for this software.

ADF scanners from HP (Model No. 3508, 3608, 5590 etc.) starting from INR 5000/- are economic, ease to use and durable.
