The attendance management system of most educational institutions is manual. The teachers or faculty takes the attendance of the class and the data entry operator manually inputs the data into the computer. This works quite well when the attendance has to be taken just once in a day. However, there are several institutes (especially colleges) where the attendance is taken for every single lecture.
