The Maharashtra State Government is known to conduct scholarship exams for class IV and class VII students each year, namely the mid-school or pre-secondary scholarship, and high-school or secondary scholarship exams, respectively. Scholarship exams in the state of Maharashtra are executed by the respective Zilla Parishads of the state. This exam is open for the students of schools run by private as well as government bodies.
OMR sheets are used as answer sheets, containing three papers/sections of 50 questions each.
The first paper is a language paper – English or Marathi, depending on the first language opted by the student.
The second paper contains questions pertaining to mathematics and social sciences.
The third paper is comprised of an intelligence test and contains questions related to general science.
All the three papers have multiple choice questions.
For the sheets to be scanned and evaluated accurately, the OMR sheets need to be filled correctly. It is advised that the students practice marking the answers on a sample answer sheet, like how several coaching classes and academic institutions conduct mock tests, so the students can prepare for the actual examination.
