Surveys are a way of knowing about the experience of a group of people about a particular product, service or such other things. These surveys help for research purpose and also to know how popular a product or service is. Here we present a transportation status report conducted by MCCIA, an ISO 9001 Organization. This survey was conducted in Pune.
At the beginning of the survey, clear instructions are given to the volunteers on the ways of filling the sheets. Participants are asked to use pen for filling the sheets and fill the bubbles completely.
Fill the volunteer ID, date, month, code, household no., individual no, age in years, gender, house, family size, family income per month, vehicles owned (2 wheeler, 4 wheeler and cycle).
Participants are also asked if they have a driver for their four wheeler, and if they have a PMPML pass, etc.
Volunteers are asked to rate the perception of Pune's transportation system from 1 to 4, where 1 means strongly disagree, 2 means disagree, 3 means agree and 4 means strongly agree.
There are also questions regarding whether the volunteers had to endure the problem of eve teasing while using any of the modes of transportation like walk, cycle, bus, rick, 2 wheeler, 4 wheeler, etc.
Number of accidents they met with during the last year.
Questions regarding the modes of transport they have not used at all during the last year.
Number of special trips they have made, the kilometres they have travelled, time in hours, the mode of transport and no. of trips.
Besides, there is also space to write their comments. A table for registering their commute details is also provided. They have to mark the time they start their travelling, their destination, whether or not they are travelling as an escort, the time taken in minutes and the cost of the travel in case of bus or auto-rickshaw.
